Photos: First Responders Remembrance Memorial 9/11 Ceremony

Family, friends and community members gathered outside the Columbia Metropolitan Visitors Center Wednesday to honor first responders from the Midlands.

The ceremony included an unveiling of the fallen K-9 memorial for Richland County Sheriff's Department K-9 officer, Fargo, and a flyover by aircraft from state and local law enforcement agencies. 

The event was held on the 12 anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks on the World Trade Center.
