Police Arrest Suspect in Stray Bullet Shooting of Girl, 4
A 21-year-old wanted in connection with a shooting at a Columbia apartment that led to a child being shot by a stray bullet was arrested.

A man suspected in a shootout at the Colony Apartments that injured a 4-year-old girl was arrested Wednesday afternoon.
Marcus Sinclaire Gantt, 21, was located around 2 p.m. at a home on Lansing Circle, the Columbia Police Department announced.
He is being charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, and unlawful carrying of a pistol.

Gantt is accused of shooting at a passing vehicle at the Colony Apartments off Beltline Boulevard around 8 p.m. Monday.
Investigators believe Gantt was among a group of people on foot involved in a shootout with a person or persons in a silver Dodge Charger.

A 4-year-old girl was hit by a stray bullet while she watched TV in her home on Bailey Street, police spokeswoman Jennifer Timmons said.
The girl was listed in critical but stable condition as of Tuesday.
Police say Gantt is a suspected gang member and that the shooting may be gang-related.
Columbia Police continue to investigate the incident.
