Here are the top three stories today in Columbia:
- Police are currently searching for a Colombian man wanted in connection to a shooting in Sumter. Antoine Joefran Durant is wanted on attempted murder and weapons charges after an argument turned violent and sent one man to the hospital. The incident occurred on Saturday night around 8:00 p.m. and police are seeking information that can lead to Durant’s arrest. (WIS10)
- On Tuesday, the Columbia City Council met to discuss a variety of topics. Their priority was the city's response to COVID-19. No official decisions were made, yet members were encouraged by the downward trending numbers of positive cases and hospitalizations.
(Abccolumbia.com) - This Friday, local law enforcement will be hosting a South Carolina career fair in Columbia. The event will have information on how to become a corrections officer, police officer, and general employment. The job fair will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Dutch Square Center Mall. (Abccolumbia.com)
