Update: Police Arrest Woman Suspected in Stabbing of Pregnant Woman

Investigators with the Columbia Police Department are looking for a 27-year-old woman they say stabbed a pregnant woman last week.

Update, 10:53 a.m. Monday, Aug. 12, 2013:  Remonoter “Re-Re” Pete, 27, was arrested Monday and is being charged with attempted murder, Columbia Police spokeswoman Jennifer Timmons said. 

Pete is accused of stabbing a pregnant woman just after 9 p.m. on Aug. 9 at 2024 Main Street.

Investigators think the two women were fighting over a fast food gift card when the verbal argument turned physical and Pete allegedly used a knife to stab the victim in the heart and lung.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where she was listed in critically stable condition as of Sunday, according to the department. Her current condition is not known.

Investigators say 27-year-old Remonoter “Re-Re” Pete is wanted for attempted murder after she allegedly stabbed a woman just after 9 p.m. on Aug. 9 at 2024 Main Street.

The two women were fighting over a fast food gift card when the verbal argument turned physical and Pete allegedly used a knife to stab the victim in the heart and lung, according to a release. 

The victim was transported to a local hospital where she was listed in critically stable condition, according to the department.

Both Pete and the victim do not have permanent addresses.

Police say Pete is known to frequent the transit station at the intersection of Marion and Sumter streets, Laurel and Sumter streets and Finlay Park.

Pete is considered armed and dangerous.
