Rep. Jeff Duncan Accuses Hillary Clinton of 'Malpractice' Over Benghazi Attack

Outgoing Secretary of State was testifying on Capital Hill over Sep. 11 attack that killed four Americans.

At a House Commitee hearing today investigating the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya last September, Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-4) had a spirited exchange with outgoing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (see the accompanying video).

The attack killed four Americans, including the Ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens.

During his questioning time, Duncan said Clinton let the American Consulate in Benghazi become a "deathtrap" and demanded she be more transparent as the investigation continues.

It was not Clinton's only dust-up of the day. She also had a sharp exchange with Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson.

Republicans have been harshly critical of the Obama Administration's handling of the attack. UN Ambassador Susan Rice initially said that the attack on the consulate was spontaneous and a result of outrage by local residents upset over an anti-Muslim film. Subsequently, it was learned that was not the case and the attack was coordinated and planned, the degree to which is still being ascertained.

Rice was mentioned as a possible candidate to replace Clinton, but she removed herself from consideration when it became clear that many Republicans, including Sen. Lindsey Graham would fight her nomination.
