Rep. Jim Clyburn Expected to Endorse Colbert Busch in SC1
Would be fourth endorsement this week.
Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-6) and Elizabeth Colbert Busch have scheduled a press conference for tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m. at which point Clyburn is expected to endorse Colbert Busch in the race for the First Congressional District seat.
Clyburn is the third-ranking member of the U.S. House and arguably the most powerful Democrat in South Carolina.
His backing would be the fourth key endorsement this week for Colbert Busch. She was supported by former competitor Martin Skelly on Monday and on Thursday by Charleston Mayor Joe Riley and the AFL-CIO.
