Rep. Jim Clyburn Likens Gun Control Legislation to Civil Rights Struggle
Makes comparison at Washington, DC press conference.

Politico is reporting that Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-6) likened the effort to pass gun-control legislation to the civil-rights movement on Thursday afternoon.
The third-ranking member of the House, Clyburn was speaking at a press conference in Washington, DC to introduce recommendations from the House gun-violence prevention task force.
He said that the comprehensive civil rights legislation proposed in the early 1960s was much different than what ended up being passed. Gun legislation, he said, could happen in the same way.
