Report: Consolidated Richland County Election Offices Rule Unconstitutional
A circuit court judge ruled issued a ruling on the 2011 merger of Richland County's elections and voter registration offices.
Circuit Court Judge Thomas Cooper ruled that the consolidation of Richland County's elections and voter registration offices was unconstitutional, according to a report from The State.
An attorney said Cooper's ruling voids the 2011 state law requiring the offices merge together, according to the report.
