Report: Richland County Deputy Fired, Charged with Misconduct

Tracy Stephens was fired and arrested Thursday after a woman filed a formal complaint saying he forced her to expose herself during a traffic stop on May 15.

A Richland County deputy was fired and arrested Thursday after a woman he had taken into custody filed a complaint saying he demanded she exposed herself to him in exchange for help with her criminal charges, according to several media reports.

Tracy Stephens was charged with misconduct in office and criminal sexual conduct, according to a report from The State. 

A woman who was arrested on May 15 and charged with driving under the influence, simple possession of marijuana and driving under suspension filed a formal complaint after she was booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center, according to a WIS-TV report.

Stephens, 31, was employed at the sheriff's department for 18 months, according to The State.
