Richland Library, EdVenture Team Up for Children's Library

Richland Library's collection of children’s books can now be found at EdVenture Children’s Museum.

The two agencies have partnered to bring the library experience directly to Eddie's playground.

“The library is working hard to put more books directly into the hands of Midlands’ children—regardless of where they are,” Youth Services Supervisor Rebecca Kolb said in a release. “EdVenture is a uniquely creative space for children and a great avenue to incorporate reading into their daily lives.”

Museum visitors can enjoy the puppet stage, theatre area, and check out up to five items with their library card from the new Richland Library at EdVenture.

Books can be checked out for three weeks and renewed up to five times. Items from the collection won’t accrue fines or lost fees, officials said.

When finished, those items can be returned to one of the library's 11 branches.

The Richland Library and EdVenture have partnered on other projects including an "enhanced" children’s space at the renovated Eastover branch.
