Richland One Recognizes Award Winners, Retirees

The school district honored several employees for their achievements and those retiring from the district.

Richland School District One honored several employees during Celebration 2013, the annual employee recognition banquet, on May 9.

Jeanette Arvay Beck, theatre arts teacher at Dreher High School, was named the 2013-2014 Richland One Teacher of the Year. James Bryant, parent/community involvement coordinator at Alcorn Middle School, was named the 2013-2014 Richland One Classified Employee of the Year.

Each received a plaque and a check for $500.

Retiring employees, who represent a combined 1,629 years of service to Richland One, also were honored during the event and received gifts of appreciation.

Yvonne Hall, a database specialist at Webber Elementary School who has worked in Richland One for 40 years, was honored as the employee retiring this year with the most years of service to the district.
