Biggest Issue Facing District 1: Jobs and the economy.

Bostic Solution:

While on Charleston County Council, Tim Scott and I worked together to bring economic jobs and economic growth to Charleston. It was during my tenure that we were able to successfully attract Boeing, Verizon and other employers to Charleston. As I've done before, I would drive economic expansion by working to ensure an employer-friendly environment and tax structures that would incentivize business location in District One.

2nd Biggest Issue Facing District 1: ObamaCare and crushing taxation. Families and small business are overburdened with the current tax load.

Bostic Solution:

While on Charleston County Council, I fought to ensure there was a balanced budget every year with no tax increases in Charleston County for the entirety of my eight year service. I would cosistently vote in favor of easing the tax burden on families and small business.

3rd Biggest Issue Facing District 1: The erosion of constitutional liberties.

Bostic Solution:

I will work to end oppressive taxation which robs our citizens of economic choice, the unconstitutional imposition of a government-run health program, and executive orders which will deprive Americans of their right to own firearms.

Why are you the best person to represent District 1 in Washington, DC?

My track record demonstrates my commitment to serve you, the citizen of Distirct One, and to lead our government to serve you. I was a Marine and won a Meritorious Mast for my actions during the ground war of Operation Desert Storm. During my tenure on Charleston County Council I worked to ensure jobs were brought to Charleston and taxes were not increased. I also authored the Charleston Greenbelt Bank Ordinance which has garnered over 50 million dollars for the purchase of parks and greenspace for the people of Charleston. I have also volunteered much of my time and resources to support non-profits which have benefitted our community. My wife, Jenny and I began "Charleston Salutes!" an annual event which honors the lives of our area's emergency workers. We also developed and operate "Peaceful Way", on our small family farm which is utilized by scores of non-profit organizations annually. My aspiration is to be a leader who truly serves the people of District One.
