Schools Host Thanksgiving Food Drive
Several Richland One schools are giving back this season.

Richland One students are joining with the City of Columbia to hold a food drive from Nov. 16 to Dec. 14 to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Collection barrels are at the front of every school for people to donate. Food and monetary donations will go to the Harvest Hope Food Bank, a press release from the school district said.
Some of the food will go to Hurricane Sandy victims.

The district hopes to break last year’s collection total of more than 13,500 pounds of food, the press release stated. The winning school will be honored at several events.
