SLED: DJJ Officer Accused of Fracturing Juvenile's Leg in Assault
Edward Bing III is charged with one count of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.

A 32-year-old correctional officer with the S.C. Department of Juvenile Justice was arrested Thursday for allegedly assaulting a juvenile detainee, according to the State Law Enforcement Division.
Edward Bing III is charged with one count of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.
An arrest warrant alleges that Bing assaulted the juvenile on July 22 and that the juvenile sustained a compound fracture in the leg.
Bing is being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center. If convicted, Bing faces up to 20 years in prison.
