Three Men Charged in Armed Robbery Near Five Points

Police say two people were robbed at gunpoint Tuesday night near Five Points.

Columbia Police arrested three men they say robbed two people at gunpoint near Five Points Tuesday night.

Yukio Demetrius Weathers, 19, and Leontre Johnson, 18, are charged with armed robbery and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

Antonio K. Marshall, 18, is charged with armed robbery.

The alleged robbery occurred at 513 Saluda Avenue shortly before 11:30 p.m. Tuesday. The victims told police at least one of the suspects pointed a gun at them while another man made them get on the ground.

The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle, stealing an undisclosed amount of cash, electronics and cell phones.

The victims were not injured.

Columbia Police and officers with the University of South Carolina's Department of Public Safety responded to the 2100 block of Greene Street a few minutes after the robbery, the department said. 

Two of the three suspects were arrested in the Greene Street area. The third suspect was arrested at the intersection of Lady and Harden streets.

All of the stolen items have been recovered, police said. 

The three men have not been identified as USC students.
