Here are the top three stories in Columbia today:
- Two separate fires in Columbia on Saturday night left ten people without their homes. The fires occurred at Fallstaff Road and Gingerbread Court. No injuries were reported in either fire. Firefighters were thankfully able to revive an unconscious dog in one of the fires. (The State)
- Another earthquake hit the Columbia area over the weekend. On Sunday afternoon, a 2.1 magnitude earthquake was recorded near Lugoff. There have been 21 earthquakes since Dec. 27, with a 3.3 magnitude quake being the largest. (The State)
- A Columbia veteran of three wars had their birthday 100th birthday over the weekend. Thomas Rew was a bomber pilot who flew in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Rew spent the day with his family. Happy Belated, Thomas! (WIS News 10)
