4-H, Forestry Commission Offering Summer Camp
Campers will learn about native wildlife species, wildfires, careers in forestry and much more.

The 4-H Forestry Summer Camp will be held at the Piedmont Forestry Center in Tamassee Salem for ages 14-18 June 25-27 from 9am-3pm.
The Jr. Forestry Camp for ages 9-13 will be held July 16-18.

The cost is $40 for each camp for non 4-H members/$35 for 4-H members.
Discover common native tree species, how to identify trees you don’t know, compass and pacing, topographic map reading, tree measurement, native wildlife species, invasive plants and insects, water quality, prescribed fire, wildfires, and careers in forestry.

Deadline to register is June 11, 2013 and deadline for Jr. Forestry Camp is July 2nd.
