Book Sale To Support Upstate Animal Rescue

Book sale in Seneca raising funds for Dot's Place Animal Haven

Proceeds from a book sale tomorrow will go to help a local animal rescue continue to help animals.

The book sale will be held in Seneca from 9am – 5pm Saturday, April 13. The book sale will take place in the parking lot of Corner Technologies, which is located at the corner of Highway 123 and Old Salem Road in Seneca, one block west of the Ingles on Highway 123. Look for the signs in the median directing you where to go.

“We will be taking advantage of the warm weather to raise money for our spay and neuter fund,” said Denise Lane Painter, who runs Dot's Place Animal Haven with her husband John. “Everything from quarter paperbacks to hardback bestsellers to antique books and more will be available.”

Painter urges readers to come out to the book sale.

“We will have all sorts of books, and will be accepting books for donations too!” she said. “Come by, see us, pick up a cheap read and help the kitties!”
