Alison Smith, the student blood drive coordinator for Sunday's drive, could win a scholarship through the American Red Cross.
BloodStock is an American Red Cross scholarship opportunity, according to Sarah Dow, Regional Chief Development Officer for the American Red Cross, Western Carolinas Region.
Student blood drive coordinators gain a meaningful leadership and community service experience. In addition, blood drive coordinators may become eligible to win a college scholarship, receive a letter of recommendation from the American Red Cross and a $50 gift card.
The BloodStock Summer Scholarship Challenge is offering $1,000 and $2,000 scholarship drawings.
“Allie is the only student blood drive coordinator in Upstate South Carolina for the Summer Bloodstock Campaign,” Dow said. “We are excited about this opportunity for her and wish her the best of luck!”
