The Dacusville woman charged with murdering her two children and attempting to kill her husband was set to appear in court Monday, but the hearing in her case has been canceled.
Pickens County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Creed Hashe said the preliminary hearing set for 10am Monday at the Pickens County Courthouse will not take place – at the request of the defendant, Suzanna Brown Simpson herself.
Hashe said Monday that Simpson contacted her defense counsel to relay her request to officials that the hearing be waived.

At a press conference held the afternoon of May 14, Sheriff Rick Clark announced that Suzanna Simpson would be charged with two counts of murder, one count of attempted murder and a weapons charge.
Suzanna Simpson suffered injuries in the collision, which have led to her being transferred from the Pickens County Detention Center to Greenville County.
Hashe said that facility is better equipped to handle someone with Simpson's injuries.
This is the second time a hearing in the case has been waived at the request of the defense.
