Deputies Seeking Suspect in Theft Ring

Two have been arrested in connection with string of thefts, but Kenneth Stoudenmire remains at large

 

 

Two suspects have been arrested and deputies are seeking a third man in connection with a theft ring in Pickens County.

The Pickens County Sheriff's Office has issued a total of 59 arrest warrants for the three suspects.

Sheriff Rick Clark says the three men are responsible for numerous thefts from motor vehicles around the county.

Joshua Pete Thomas, 19, of 130 Gardenia Court, Easley, has been arrested.

He is charged with one count of burglary, nine counts of auto breaking, one count of grand larceny and ten counts of petit larceny.

Brandon Tyler Stoudenmire, 18, of 64 Smythe Avenue, Greenville, has also been arrested.

He faces nine counts of auto breaking and 10 counts of petit larceny.

Brandon Stoudenmire's brother, Kenneth Justin Stoudenmire, 18, also of 64 Smythe Avenue, is still at large. He faces 9 counts of auto breaking and 10 counts of petit larceny.

Anyone with information regarding Kenneth Justin Stoudenmire's whereabouts is asked to call the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office.

Warrants charge that the three men broke into a number of vehicles on or around May 10.

The Sheriff’s Office reports that the three men randomly canvassed neighborhoods in the effort to locate unlocked vehicles during the cover of darkness and stole items left inside the vehicles by the owners.

Approximately $3500.00 of various properties ranging from iPODs, purses, tools, medication, a handgun, a high school class ring and other items were stolen.

The Sheriff’s Office has recovered approximately $2500.00 of the stolen property.
