It's been a very soggy summer so far this year, but the chances of rain the rest of the week are slighter than they have been in recent weeks.
The National Weather service predicts a 30 percent chance of rain today, tonight and through Thursday evening. On Friday there's a 40 percent chance of precipitation, falling to 20 percent Friday night. Forecasters are calling for a 40 percent chance of rain Saturday and 50 percent on Sunday.
Recent storms have caused lots of damage in the Upstate. A weekend storm caused the SC Botanical Garden to close for the first time in its history Monday. Pictured above is Old Jewell Bridge Road in Central, which has been closed for nearly a week after a nearby pond overflowed onto the roadway.
