Easley Man Inducted Into Phi Beta Kappa at Wofford College

Christopher Michael Bourean one of 35 Wofford students and alumni recently inducted.

Christopher Michael Bourean was accorded Wofford College's highest academic honor Tuesday, April 30, when he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. He is the son of Michael and Lisa Bourean of Easley.

Bourean is majoring in biology and finance. Bourean has been member and chair of the Math Academy, a Campus Union delegate, a volunteer in the Twin Towers service organization, and a member of The James Fund. He was named as a Presidential Global Studies Scholar and was a member of the Presidential Seminar. A candidate for a B.S. degree in May 2013, Bourean plans to attend medical school at either the Medical University of South Carolina or Wake Forest University.

Thirty-five Wofford College students and recent graduates were initiated as members-in-course during the ceremony that marked the 72nd anniversary of Phi Beta Kappa at Wofford.
