Easley Native Opening State Farm Office

Sheldon Porter is opening a new State Farm Insurance office in the city of Greenville. Sheldon’s office will be located at 307 Mills Avenue and opens on Thursday August 1st at 09:00am.  Prior to becoming a State Farm Agent, Sheldon worked as a Financial Advisor and has over 12 years of experience in sales and management.  He is a native of Easley and attended Easley High School. 

“My goal is to help the people of Greenville and the surrounding communities manage the risks of everyday life, recover from the unexpected, and realize their dreams,” said Sheldon.  “Being a State Farm agent fuels my desire to make a difference in the lives of the people around me and to give back to this great community.” 

Sheldon has been active in his community by helping to lead worship at East Pickens Baptist Church. “Being involved in my local community has always been a passion for me,” Sheldon said. “I have always wanted to be a person people can depend on. I am very excited about my State Farm opportunity that will allow me to be a positive influence in the Greenville area.” 

Sheldon, his wife Lindsay, and children Hayes and Eli currently reside in Easley, SC.  Lindsay is also a native of Easley and is a Documentation Specialist for Perceptis in Downtown Greenville.  Their oldest son Hayes is 6 and will begin 1st Grade this year and their youngest son Eli is 3 and attends preschool.
