Easley Student Wins Congressional Art Competition

Easley High School junior Hannah Laney wins this year's competition.

Today, Congressman Jeff Duncan of South Carolina’s Third District announced the winner of the 2013 Congressional Art Competition. Hannah Laney, a Junior at Easley High School, was chosen as this year’s winner. Hannah painted an oil pastel entitled ‘Bright Idea’ that is pictured below.

 Congressman Duncan released the following statement:

 “I’d like to thank all of those who participated in the contest this year, and I’d like to congratulate the winner, Miss Hannah Laney.  I look forward to seeing her in Washington where she will have the opportunity to join other winners from across the country at the reception honoring their outstanding artwork.”
