Event's Goal is Protecting Community's Children

"Keeping Our Children Safe" Expo will be held Saturday, April 27

 

A special event in Easley April 27 aims at helping the community protect its children.

“Keeping Our Children Safe,” a community expo for parents and professionals, will be held 8:30am – 12pm Saturday, April 27 at Rock Springs Baptist Church.

Topics covered at the expo include “Safety in the Internet Age,” “Identity Theft,” “Prescription Drug Safety and Addiction Awareness,” “Safe for Children/Childhood Obesity,” “Safety in the Home/Gun Safety,” “Fathers as Protectors of Children,” “Bullying Prevention/Gang Awareness,” “Safety for Infants and Toddlers/Safe Sleep,” “Safety in the Community/Water Safety,” “Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse.”

There will also be an “Ask a Doctor/Ask a Nurse” booth.

Breakfast, snacks, door prizes and giveaways will be provided. Donations will be accepted and are greatly appreciated.

The Expo is sponsored by The Parenting Place, the Pickens County Sheriff's Office, Safe Kids Upstate and DSS.
