Funeral Services Announced for Fallen Soldier Pfc. Barrett Austin

Austin's body is expected to arrive back in the Upstate Monday. A funeral is planned for 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral services for a fallen Upstate soldier have been set for Wednesday.

WSPA has reported that the body of Pfc. Barrett Austin is expected to arrive back in the Upstate Monday at 11:45 a.m.

Austin, 20, died Sunday, April 21, in Germany from injuries he sustained while serving in Afghanistan.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Rock Springs Baptist Church.
