Greenville Drive Hosting Easley/Powdersville Night Monday

Special night will include Pickens County and South Carolina's Teacher of the Year, local baseball stars and more.

Several local residents will be recognized by the Greenville Drive next week.

Monday night's game has been officially designated “Easley/Powdersville Night” at Fluor Field.

Before the game, local all-star baseball teams will be taking part in a parade on the field.

As Big League Baseball World Series play kicks off Wednesday in Easley, the SC District 1 Host Team will be recognized at the Drive game. There are many Easley-area players on the team this year, vying to bring home another championship for District 1.

Pickens County's own Darleen Sutton, South Carolina's 2013-2014 Teacher of the Year, will also be recognized Monday. Sutton teaches at Pickens Elementary School.

Baptist Easley's new CEO Michael Batchelor will be introduced during the festivities as well.

Miss Pickens County, Miss Pickens County Teen, Miss Powdersville and Miss Powdersville Teen will be posing for photos and signing autographs during the special night.

The fun starts at 6pm and the Drive's game against the Lexington Legends begins at 7:05pm.
