Help Provide School Supplies to Area Children

Easley Patch is teaming up with Upstate School Spirit for a school supply drive for Easley students.

Like most kids, I could be forgetful when it came to bringing all the school supplies I needed to class.

It's hard to forget that feeling of panic when I realized I didn't have something that I needed.

I was always grateful when a teacher could provide the missing supply.

Schools are near and dear to Anna Esuary's heart, from her time working in the School District of Pickens County to now owning Upstate School Spirit, LLC in Easley.

So when she heard that Easley Patch was looking for a business to partner with on a school supply drive, she didn't hesitate to volunteer.

The drive has begun and donated school supplies have begun appearing in the green basket on the counter of Upstate School Spirit.

School budgets seem to get tighter and tighter every year, and teachers often pay for school supplies out of their own pockets.

Donating a few items is an easy way to help ease the burden on our teachers and our schools.

You can donate pencils, crayons, glue sticks, erasers, hand sanitizer, paper, scissors, markers, colored pencils, red pens and blue pens.

You can also pick up lists of what we're collecting at Upstate School Spirit.

All donations will stay with children in need in Easley.

After dropping off your donations, be sure to check out all the school spirit gear Esuary offers. She has items for all the area high schools, including Powdersville and Wren, as well as Clemson and USC gear.

Upstate School Spirit is located at 1035 South Pendleton Street, Suite B.
