Last Big League World Series Teams Announced
With the addition of Thousand Oaks California and British Columbia, the eyes of the baseball world will be on Easley this week during the Big League World Series.

The field is finally taking shape as teams from all over the world will converge on Easley, SC for the 2013 Big League World Series this week.
The full lineup of teams is now set. British Columbia won their region and will be representing Canada in the Big League World Series.
Representing the West Region is Thousand Oaks, California, who also won their region over the weekend. Those two teams will be joining the other qualifying teams:

Host: Â SC District 1
Southeast: Â SC District 7 (Greenville/Spartanburg County)
Southwest: Houston, Texas
Central: Grand Rapids Michigan
East: Cumberland, New Jersey
Mexico
Europe-Africa: Â Germany
Latin America: Maracaibo Venezuela
Asia-Pacific: Â Chinese Taipei
They'll be vying for a chance to play live on ESPN for a World Championship on July 31.
As Easley gets set to host their 13th World Series the field is proving to be a competitive one filled with former Champions. Â Past champions who are in this years field include, South Carolina District 1, South Carolina District 7, Â Chinese Taipei, and Maracaibo Venezuela. Â In fact, this year marks the first time a team from Chinese Taipei will visit Easley. Â The very fact that Chinese Taipei field strong teams in the Little League division has tournament organizers excited about raising the bar in this years
tournament.
This year the teams will begin to arrive in the Upstate on Monday July 22nd with the festivities kicking off on Tuesday July 23rd with the Home Run Derby at 6pm, Parade of Teams at 7:15pm, and concludes with a concert by Casey James all at no cost. The concert starts at 8pm.Â
