Peyton Beane chosen Pickens County’s Distinguished Young Woman
Peyton Beane participated in the Distinguished Young Women At-Large competition in Lexington S.C. on April 6, 2013. She was judged in scholastic achievement, talent, interview, physical fitness, and self-expression. Peyton was named Pickens County Distinguished Young Woman 2014 and will compete July 22 – 27 for the title of Distinguished Young Woman of South Carolina.
The Distinguished Young Women is a program that inspires high school girls to develop their full, individual potential. It encourages academic achievement, leadership, and talent. Formally known as America’s Junior Miss, it is the largest and oldest national scholarship program for high school girls.
Peyton Beane is a junior honors student at Easley High School. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and the Spanish Honor Society. She was selected to be in the 2013 Class of Junior Leadership Pickens County, received the All-American Scholar At-Large International World Languages Award and is a recipient of a USAA Scholarship Foundation Educational Grant. Her activities include the Interact Club, Teen Lead Club, and Spanish Club.

She is the daughter of Scott and Cresada Beane of Easley, SC.
