Six Mile Woman Killed After Motorcycle Crash

Investigators say 30-year-old Sylvia Crain died at the scene.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a motorcycle crash that killed a Six Mile woman who was a passenger on a motorcycle.

According to the Pickens County Coroner's Office, 30-year-old Sylvia Craig of Six Mile was killed after the driver of the motorcycle she was a passenger of lost control and struck and oncoming vehicle. Craig was not wearing a helmet and died at the scene.

Troopers said the wreck happened around 6:35 p.m. Thursday at Crowe Creek Road and Shady Grove Road in Sunset. Troopers said the driver entered a curve on south South Carolina Highway 133 and lost control. Troopers said the motorcycle and the riders went down and slid head on into a truck that was traveling north.
