SLED Arrests Man in Clemson University Gas Theft
Former Clemson University police officer faces several charges

The State Law Enforcement Division arrested a 39-year-old Pickens man in connection with the theft of gasoline from the university motor pool.
Jason Daniel Cassell was charged with felony misconduct in office and misdemeanor petit larceny in connection with the theft of several gallons of gasoline worth about $15. Cassell, who was employed as a Clemson University police officer, no longer works for the university.
SLED investigated the case at the request of the Clemson University Police Department.

Cassell was released on $4,630 in personal recognizance bonds.
