Southern Wesleyan University Hosts National Bible Bowl

Approximately 70 youngsters in 14 teams participated in the 2013 National Wesleyan Bible Bowl Tournament at Southern Wesleyan University’s Central campus.

The participants came from Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Indiana, New York and Virginia.

Scholarships are awarded to competition winners in middle school and high school, added to the valuable benefit of growing in the knowledge of God’s Word.

This year’s focus was on the Gospel of Matthew. Top teams included Christ Wesleyan Church, Milton, Pa., and Faith Wesleyan Church, Terre Haute, Ind. The Wesleyan Church has sponsored the Bible quizzing competition since 1958.
