Speak Out: Is S.C. 'Overdue' for a Natural Disaster?

State hasn't had a natural disaster reported in more than five years.

The map is a bit spooky. No other state in the United States has enjoyed the luxury of zero natural disasters since 2007 except for South Carolina, according to EnvironmentAmericaCenter.org. 

Colorado State University's Department of Atmospheric Science reported this week that there will be four major hurricanes out of the tropics this season. 

Are you prepared for a disaster? The American Red Cross recommends that everyone create an emergency plan. Make sure you and your family know what to do when disaster strikes.
