T. Ed Garrison Arena's May Events

Event calendar includes cattle sale and Appaloosa Horse Show.

SC Hereford Association Sale
May 4 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Annual sale of registered purebred Hereford and Hereford crossed cattle
Cost: Free for spectators

Appaloosa Horse Show
May 4-5 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Southern Hospitality event is the only APHC-approved Appaloosa show held in South Carolina. Saturday classes include halter, western pleasure, game classes and reining. Sunday classes include driving, hunter over fences, hunter under saddle and games.

AKC Agility Dog Show
May 9-12 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
American Kennel Club (AKC) Dog Agility Show showcases dogs of all breeds competing on random obstacles in a pre-determined order.

Horse Play in May
May 18-19 from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Saturday open hunter/jumper show with an open English/Western Carolina Horse Show Association show. Sunday dressage and combined training open show sanctioned by S.C. Dressage and Combined Training Association.

Dairy Goat Show
May 18-19 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Dairy goat show sanctioned by the American Dairy Goat Association for senior does, junior does and bucks.

SC High School Rodeo
May 23-25 from 7 to 11 p.m.
Watch the top riders compete in bareback, barrel racing, team roping, calf roping, girls’ breakaway, pole bending, goat tying and bull riding. The S.C. High School Rodeo Queen will be crowned on Saturday.
Cost: Adult (13 & up) $12, Children (12 & under) $6
