Tri-County Technical College Offering 1-Day Handgun Safety Course

Tri-County Technical College will offer a new One-Day Handgun Safety and Proficiency course to allow qualifying participants to apply for a South Carolina Concealed Weapons Permit. Students will be provided with the basic knowledge and skills for the safe and proper use of a handgun.

The classroom portion of the class will be held at Tri-County Technical College’s Anderson Campus, located at 511 Michelin Blvd, Saturday, June 22, from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. The firing range location will be at a local firing range. The cost is $99 per person or for individuals who bring a friend, the cost is discounted to $75 per person (one friend per person.).

The course will include classroom instruction and additional time on the firing range. Topics will include weapons components and handgun knowledge, handgun safety and handling, cleaning and storage of weapons, basic shooting techniques, range safety and South Carolina law.
