Easley's Fourth of July Celebration is going on as scheduled, but predicted rains have forced some changes to be made to other fests.
Easley's two-day "Celebrate America" Festival kicks off today at 2pm in Old Market Square.
Today's event will feature carnival rides, vendors and live music in the amphitheater.
Tickets for the rides are $1 each. You can purchase 25 tickets for $20. On July 3 only, you can purchase a $15 wristband between 2pm – 7pm and receive unlimited rides.
A Classic and Custom car cruise-in begins at 5pm.
The Flashbacks take the stage at 7pm.
Today's festivities conclude at 10pm and the festival starts back up at 2pm tomorrow.
On July 4, Encore Band will perform from 7pm until the fireworks, one of the Upstate's biggest displays, begin at 9:45pm.
Weather has impacted the Pickens Celebrates the Fourth event.
Pickens City Administrator Katherine Hendricks said that expected wet weather has forced the cancellation of the day activities, including rides, music, games and vendors.
But the free concert from American Idol finalist Chris Sligh will go on as planned. The concert has been moved indoors to East Pickens Baptist Church and will begin at 7:30pm.
Hendricks said the City of Pickens' fireworks show will still go on as planned. The fireworks will be set off over Main Street beginning at 10pm.
The predicted inclement weather has forced ClemsonFest, which was slated to be held today to be moved to Saturday.
The event will be held at Clemson Outdoor Recreation and Education (C.O.R.E.), formerly known as Y- Beach.
