• Former law enforcement officers share proactive measures for active shooter scenarios (wyff4.com) — Two former Greenville County Sheriff’s Office deputies are teaching Upstate residents how to prepare for and respond to active shooter situations, from spotting warning signs to using tourniquets and bleeding control kits. Their Greenville-based Proactive Response Group emphasizes practical, hands-on training so workplaces, schools, and community spaces can react quickly and recover more effectively if violence occurs.
   

• Man charged with attempted murder in Anderson Co. shooting (wspa.com) — An Anderson County man has been charged with attempted murder after deputies say an argument in Pendleton ended with another person shot multiple times and airlifted to a Greenville hospital, where they remain in critical condition. Investigators say the victim’s family identified the suspect, who was arrested about 40 minutes after the initial 911 call.
