Legal battle brews after Greenville County denies subdivision reconsideration (foxcarolina.com) — Greenville County’s Planning Commission has again rejected reconsideration of the large Owens Glen subdivision in Piedmont, keeping hundreds of proposed homes on hold and setting up a likely court fight. Residents who oppose the project over density and infrastructure concerns celebrated the 8–1 vote, while developers pursue an appeal based on an earlier 2024 approval and newly secured sewer access.
   

2. Greenville County man charged with trafficking a minor, warrants say (wyff4.com) — Law enforcement has charged a Greenville County man with two counts of trafficking in persons involving a minor, following an investigation requested by the Greenville Police Department. SLED alleges he recruited and transported the victim for sex acts this spring; he is currently being held at the Greenville County Detention Center.
