It was forged, SC cops say (thestate.com) — A Greenwood resident has been charged with forgery and obtaining property under false pretenses after investigators said a deceased person’s name was used to cash an insurance check. State agents say the woman was booked into the Greenwood County Detention Center and later released on bond, with her case now headed to court in March 2026.
