4 Candidates File for Local School Board

The filing period is open for local school boards and four candidates have filed so far for three at-large seats on Lexington-Richland 5's board.

Four candidates — including three current board members — have filed for three at-large seats on Lexington-Richland 5's board.

According to local elections offices, the following candidates have filed for seats as of Tuesday afternoon.

Lexington County: Jan Hammond¹, Beth Watson¹

Richland County: Robert Gantt¹, Melissa Cole

If you're interested in running for the school board, you have until noon on Aug. 15 to file.
