5 Things: Bark to the Park, Saluda Shoals Quest, Sailfest & More

Looking for something to do? Check out these events happening in and around Irmo.

Pawmetto Lifeline will hold its Bark to the Park Walk and Festival this Saturday starting at 9 a.m. The festival features pet competitions, entertainment and educational booths as well as the K9s in Flight Frisbee Dog Sports Show. The event benefits homeless pets in the Midlands.

Saluda Shoals Quest is a race where teams will complete a series of physical and mental challenges throughout the park that require the team to work together. Clues will be provided to lead your team to each activity. The order the clues are opened is up to the team.

From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, join the Lake Murray Sailing Club for the Sailfest open house in Chapin.  The event features seminars, sailboat rides and more. 

 

Cleanup with the Cops

Looking to volunteer this weekend? Check out the Cleanup with the Cops event sponsored by Keep the Midlands Beautiful and the Lexington County Sheriff's Department. Cleanup will be on Stratton Court and trash bags, water and gloves will be provided. 

 

River Rocks Festival

Congaree Riverkeeper's Second Annual River Rocks Festival at Riverfront Park will be held Saturday. River Rocks, which is held the weekend before Earth Day,  features environmental education for all ages, paddling races and guided canoe trips, fun kid's activities, food and beverages, bands, and more. All proceeds go to support Congaree Riverkeeper's efforts to protect the Congaree, Broad and Saluda rivers.
