Here's a look at events happening in or near Irmo-Seven Oaks this weekend.

Neighborhood Block Party
A neighborhood block party will be held in the Acalon subdivision between 1 and 3 p.m. Saturday in the 200 block of Sandstone Court near Irmo. Members of the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department Explorers Post will prepare fingerprint identification cards for children who are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. The department also will set up static displays with a Crime Scene Investigation Unit vehicle as well as a truck that is used by hazardous device technicians with the agency’s Bomb Squad.
Alice in Wonderland Jr.
Head over to the Midlands Technical College Harbison Theater in Irmo for the Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission Children's Theatre presentation of Alice in Wonderland Jr.
Disney's Alice in Wonderland Jr. is a fast-paced musical featuring the classic Disney favorites "I'm Late," "The Un-birthday Song" and "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah."

Showtimes are: 7:30 p.m. Friday; 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday; and 3 p.m. Sunday

Pickin' & Piggin'
From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, enjoy barbeque and music at Saluda Shoals Park at Pickin' & Piggin'. The event features BBQ from more than 20 cooks in South Carolina and live music from local bluegrass band the Blue Iguanas. Tickets are $10 person in advance; $12 day of the event. Bank of America and Merrill Lynch’s Museums on Us
Bank of America is offering its cardholders free admission to EdVenture Children’s Museum in Columbia Saturday and Sunday. Photo ID and a valid Bank of America/Merrill Lynch credit or debit card must be presented to enter. The offer is good for one free general admission. Lexington County Museum Open House
The Lexington County Museum will host its Annual Spring Open House Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. The public is invited to the free event to see the ca. 1832 John Fox House, the 1771 Laurence Corley Log House, the ca. 1815 Oak Grove Schoolhouse, and some new additions as well. Children will be able to participate in a scavenger hunt, write with quill pens, and play 19th century games.
