A Devine Night Out

Where:  Devine Street in Columbia
When:5 to 8 p.m., 8 to 10 p.m. today
Cost: Free
Info: Head down to Devine Street in Columbia for a festive shopping experience. More than 40 stores on Devine are participating in the event. From 5 to 8 p.m., you can shop until you drop. At 8 pm., make your way to Henry’s, 2865 Devine Street, for live entertainment, food and drinks.

Winter Wonder Ride

Where:
When:  6 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday
Cost: $2 per slide with Holiday Lights admission (Cars: $10 15-Passenger Vans: $20 Buses: $35)
Info: The Winter Wonder Ride at Holiday Lights on the River is a chance for you to go tubing without the snow. Tubes are provided. Children and adults 42" and taller can participate. If under age 4, the child must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

EdVenture’s Festivals of Sharing

Where:  EdVenture, 211 Gervais Street, Columbia
When:  9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday
Cost: Free with museum admission
Info: The Festivals of Sharing is an opportunity for children to learn how different cultures celebrate the holiday season. The day will include activities related to several holiday traditions of different cultures such as creating menorahs and kinaras.

Model Train Christmas Show

Where: Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1715 Broad River Road
When: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday
Cost: Free admission
Info: Bring the kids out for some activities to include interactive layouts, trains and of course Santa. Beverages and food will be available for purchase.

Where:  500 Wildlife Parkway, Columbia
When: Starts Saturday until Dec. 30, from 6 to 9 p.m.
Cost: $8 for adults, $6 for children ages 3-12. Kids 2 and under are admitted free.
Info: Head over to Riverbanks Zoo for an evening of animated images and Music in Motion lights show. Guests can also stop by Santa's Village to see Santa Claus at every Lights Before Christmas event until Dec. 23. All Riverbanks members are eligible to receive one free visit when they show their membership card and picture ID at the gate. Guest passes are not accepted. Guests are encouraged to buy their tickets online in advance. The cost of admission will increase $2 for any tickets purchased at the gate after 5:00pm.
