6 Arrested in Newberry Meth Lab Bust, 2 Kids in Protective Custody
Two young children were removed from a Newberry home after deputies found six people operating a meth lab.

Newberry County Sheriff's deputies arrested six people accused of operating a meth lab at a home with two young children inside.
Deputies say a search warrant was executed at a home located at 252 Adam Teseniar Road off of Highway 121 in Newberry after a "series of citizen complaints."
The following will be charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and willfully exposing a child to meth:

Investigators said they found two children ages 2 and 11 months, in the home described as being "in absolutely deplorable conditions."
The children, who were given a medical exam because of the exposure to the meth lab, were placed into custody of the South Carolina Department of Social Services, the department said.

A certified clean-up crew was called to safely dismantle and dispose of the meth lab, authorities said.
A bond hearing for all six people is expected to be held Saturday.
