Allied Barton to Pay Family of Shooting Victim

Family of Robert Bell reached settlement with mall security firm.

Allied Barton Security Services will pay $530,000 to the family of a man who was shot outside Columbiana Centre in 2007, according to a report from The State.

The family of Robert Bell alleged mall security failed to provide adequate protection for Bell and his daughter, Shaunna Bell, from her estranged husband, Michael Young Jr.

Young was sentenced to 50 years without parole, according to the S.C. Department of Corrections.
