The American Pickleball Tour Returns to Columbia July 19 - 21!
Tournament organizers are currently seeking a charity beneficiary to partner with them on this event!

Join the dynamic fun during the return of the 3-day Columbia American Pickleball Tournament (APT) beginning at 3 p.m. Friday, July 19 and continuing through Sunday, July 21! This unforgettable tournament experience has something for everyone no matter what your skill level or age, and first-time tournament players are encouraged to attend. The competition will take place at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center, located at 1101 Lincoln Street in Columbia. APT is currently looking for a charity beneficiary to partner with them for this event.
APT Columbia not only embraces the sport of Pickleball (a combination of tennis, badminton, and ping pong), but also enables players to connect with others and spend time with those who have similar interests during social events. These events will include Open Play for everyone on Thursday, July 18 beginning at 3 p.m. and after the tournament concludes on Saturday, July 20, APT will host a fun social gathering for all players and spectators alike to come eat, drink, and talk about “dinks”!
“We are looking to partner with a nonprofit organization who is working to make a difference in the Columbia community,” said Aaron Del Mar, APT founder. “APT participants will love the competition and make new friends while benefiting a truly worthwhile organization.”

Parking is free and those who don’t choose to compete are encouraged to take advantage of open play courts on Friday afternoon or relax in the bleachers and cheer on their favorite players.
APT participants are encouraged to stay after the tournament and enjoy some sightseeing. Sites include Greek Revival architecture, Riverbanks Zoo and Garden, and the Columbia Museum of Art, which are all family-friendly places to explore while in the area.
