
Forty-six Ballentine Elementary School students were recently inducted into the National Junior Beta Club, a non-profit leadership service club for grades five through eight.
Students who end fourth grade with an overall average of 85 or above in math, language arts, science and social studies are eligible for Beta Club induction. Those students must also maintain exemplary behavior in and outside the classroom, and exhibit good character.
The mission of Beta Club is to “promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership” among students in elementary and secondary schools.
