The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department and Lexington-Richland School District 5 are partnering to collect donations of bottled water, sports drinks and single-serving snacks for members of the military.
The donations will be delivered to the USO for distribution to members of the United States armed forces while they are at the Columbia Metropolitan Airport, the sheriff's department said.
Donations will be accepted through Monday, April 22.

The donations can be dropped off at any of District 5's schools and the Lexington County North Region Service Center, 111 Lincreek Drive, Columbia.
The sheriff's department is also partnering with Lexington School District 2.
